Valorization of Residues from Intensive Horticulture: A Business Opportunity for Bio-Based Industries
This workshop will present the SuperBIO project and its potential for innovation in valorization of horticulture. It will present the myriad of types of horticultural residues and the potential within the Andalucian context. Next it will present biotechnological conversion of horticultural residues. Finally, a succesful EU case will be presented to showcase the potential for innovation in the bio-based industries.

Where: Seville, Spain, Centre for Technological Research and Innovation (C.I.T.I.U.S.), Seville University, Hall of Degrees “Celestiino Mutis”, Avenida Reina Mercedes 4B. This is the day before the SUSCHEM brokerage event and during the EUCheMS conference.

Organizer: Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA), Spanish Industrial Cluster and consortium partner of the SuperBIO H2020 Project. SuperBIO is an innovation project supported through the Horizon2020 funding program of the European Commission. The 3.8 million project is committed to build new, innovative, cross-border and cross-sectorial value chains in the bio-based economy that have the potential to disrupt existing value chains in the fossil oil based economy. The workshops are intended to spark new ideas to be submitted to the SuperBIO project. The SuperBIO consortium includes 10 organisations from six different countries.
