Tackling microplastics pollution: can biodegradable coating and textile be a solution?

The objective of the workshop is to stimulate the debate among stakeholders to identify and discuss how biodegradable solutions can address microplastic pollution along the lifecycle stages of textiles and coatings.

The workshop will start with a session involving experts to frame the problem, the political scene, the business context and the market perspective.
Then, there will be three sessions with some “setting the scene talks” in order to stimulate the discussion along the following specific questions:

• safe and sustainable by design
• purchase and usage
• end of life

After the talks, an open and interactive discussion will engage participants on the topics.
