Already for the fifth time, the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering expert group organises an edition of the biennial eFFECT lecture series (events in Flanders Focusing on Engineering and Chemical Technology). By focusing on interesting technological themes with societal relevance, a unique forum is created each time where relevant actors from industry, academia, research and development in Flanders can meet. Each cycle comprises a number of sessions linked by an overarching technological and socially relevant main theme.
Under the theme ‘Reconfiguring (Bio)Chemical Value Chains for the Future’, this fifth eFFECT cycle again highlights 4 interesting themes:
- Waste Streams Valorisation
- Sustainable Food and Feed Supply: organised at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant
- Energy and Chemical Processes
- New Chemical Value Chains
‘eFFECT’ explicitly addresses engineers working in the chemical industry or in other industrial sectors, in knowledge institutions or in research centres. In addition, all engineering students of (bio)chemistry and master and doctoral students of all (bio)chemical engineering faculties in Flanders are also invited. And by extension, the general public with an interest in technology is also welcome!
More information on all eFFECT cycle themes is in this poster or on the eFFECT website.
