Sidestream Valorisation Conference

He will speak at 15.20h about the scale-up of sidestream valorisation at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant. 

Industrial sidestreams hold significant untapped potential in the transition towards a more resource-efficient and circular bioeconomy. Across food, fermentation and biomanufacturing, residual ressources can become the basis for new ingredients, materials and sustainable solutions — but realising this potential requires collaboration across science, industry, policy and funding.
With its strong tradition of industrial symbiosis, Kalundborg offers a unique setting for this dialogue. The conference will bring together perspectives from science and industry to explore how sidestreams can be transformed into valuable and sustainable solutions.

Through selected cases, shared insights and open dialogue, the day will focus on opportunities, barriers and emerging approaches within sidestream valorisation and circular biosolutions. Participants’ perspectives and input from the day will help inform the continued work of a smaller expert group, which will meet the following day to develop key recommendations for a white paper.
