During this Flanders’ Food Inspiration Day, you will have the opportunity to explore, through a series of inspiring keynotes and interactive workshops, topics including the broad framework of food processing, the effect of processing on product quality and the pilot infrastructure network in Flanders.

Julie Vanderstraeten and Stef Denayer will give a talk focusing on the potential of fermentation in the food industry. On the path from raw material to product, we encounter various technologies, including fermentation, that can play an important role in the food industry. By providing an overview of some of our ongoing projects, they aim to inspire this sector to further explore the potential of this technology. Moreover, by showcasing our ProteInn Club ecosystem, they will demonstrate to the food industry the potential of positioning themselves at different points within the value chain of fermentation-based proteins.
