A License to Ferment by The ProteInn Club

Ghent, 11 December 2025,

A kidnapped professor. A secret recipe. A wannabe James Bond. And… a 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁?

Today The ProteInn Club is launching a playful spy-style explainer video introducing fermentation-based proteins to a broad audience. With this film, we want to show that Europe has everything it needs to play a leading role in the fermentation revolution: feedstocks, scientific expertise and infrastructure to scale.

The video uses a playful spy-movie storyline where a fermentation professor is kidnapped for his secret recipes and a wannabe James Bond races to rescue him. Along the way, viewers are introduced to fermentation basics, protein functionality, and Europe’s vast potential.

We hope this video can spark curiosity, encourage collaboration, and welcome even more people into the growing fermentation ecosystem!
